Our Inspiration

Our inspiration for this project comes from my grandmother in Hong Kong. Every summer, my family and I would fly to Hong Kong to visit our grandmother and she would often ask for technology-related help. But then, the COVID-19 pandemic struck and quarantine began, and as a result, we were unable to visit her in person. Despite the physical distance, we wanted to find a way to stay connected with her and help with any technical challenges she faced. We were aware that many other senior citizens struggled with technology. That's when we came up with the idea for our project. I pitched this idea to Anson and we decided that we could help not just our own grandparents, but also other senior citizens in our community.

About Us

Hello! We are Anson and Nolan and we have been good friends since middle school. Currently, we are students at Junipero Serra High School, on a mission to make a meaningful impact on elderly citizens in our community. With a shared passion for technology and service, we have created a non-profit called e-Elderly, which is aimed at empowering senior citizens through the use of technology.

Nolan is a junior at Junipero Serra High School and is a part of their Creative Solutions for the Global Good class. He enjoys working with computers, playing video games and tennis in his free time, and spending time with his friends. His passion for technology along with his interest in building and engineering has motivated him to create a project to help those in need along with his partner Anson.

Anson is a junior at Junipero Serra High School and is also part of the Creative Solutions for the Global Good class. He is a part of the crew team and enjoys playing video games with friends and cooking food in his free time.
